About anika

anika concentrates on artistic photography that documents reality. The business managers, Monika Obermeier and Agnes Reinthaler, both of whom comes from the area of exhibition –making and media, find that this photographic genre has suffered in Austria from lack of attention. Three client groups will be brought together:

anika offers artists support in their search for exhibition sites, in the conception and execution of book and exhibition projects or help in dealing with applications to public bodies for support. In addition the enterprise functions as a professional interface for establishing contact with collectors. At present we have cooperation agreements with artists such as Michaela Bruckmüller, Shailo Djekshenbayev, Peter Granser, Paul Kranzler, Prof. Erich Lessing, Christoph Lingg, Ernst Logar, Arabella Schwarzkopf and Horst Stein.

anika can assist exhibiting institutions as needed. We assist in making contact with the artists, coordinate, curate and take care of text production or the search for sponsors.

As far as many private persons or companies are concerned, many Austrian photographic collections are still in their infancy or have not yet been established. Our initiative will encourage already active collectors in their passion and infect the undecided with enthusiasm for this form of visual art. We advise on building a collection but also organise events such as internal or external company presentations or competitions in which prizes can be won.
