Portfolio Review 2009 / Experten

Gabriel Bauret is mainly working as curator in France and various other countries (recently in USA) on exhibitions concerning a large panel of photographers (modern photographers as well as contemporary creators using photography, documentary photographers as well as artists). He works for festivals and public museums as Rencontres d'Arles or Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris. Bauret also writes and conceives books for various publishers: Nathan, Le Chêne, La Martinière, Filigranes ... Monographic and thematic books, essays ... He has been teaching until last year at the École Nationale des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.

His interest for photography is not limited to one style or one period of its history.
