Jim Casper

 

Jim Casper is editor and publisher of Lens Culture, (www.lensculture.com), an international online magazine exploring contemporary photography, art, media, and world cultures. Lens Culture features the work of photographers from all continents and various points of view: documentary, fine art, photojournalism, poetic, personal, abstract, human, and street photography. Lens Culture includes well-written essays, analysis and criticism about photography and culture; a growing section of photobook reviews; audio interviews with photographers; as well as reviews of exhibitions and events. The site includes archives of all previous articles. Currently, the Lens Culture website attracts more than two million visitors per year, from more than 50 countries worldwide.

Casper serves on the board of directors of a non-profit educational photography organization, San Francisco's PhotoAlliance, and is an active participant in photography festivals and conferences around the world. He also writes and lectures about photography, and organizes photography-related events and workshops. He lives and works in Paris, France.
