Celina Lunsford’s professional experience spans over 20 years of curating exhibitions, and writing on photography. Since 1992 she has been the artistic director of the Fotografie Forum Frankfurt. She teaches photographic theory and is published regularly as commissioned writer on the subject. Throughout her curatorial work at the Fotografie Forum Frankfurt she has published several books on international photography such as such as Fast Forward: Photographic Message from Korea and Women by Women, Eight Women Photographers from the Arab World.
In 2009 she was a facilitator at the Joop Swart Masterclass of World Press Photo Foundation, Amsterdam and is currently on the nominating committee for the Prix Pictet 3, award for photography. She is a member of the Oracle Conference of international photography curators, Vice President of the Deutsche Fotografische Akademie, is a founding member of the Arbeitskreis Neue Bildsprache Lead Awards, Hamburg and member of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Photographie.
In recent years she has juried for the Koerber Award (Koeber Stiftung Hamburg), the F-Stop Festival Emerging Talent Awards, Leica Photography Award, Hyeres Photography Award and European Central Bank Photography Award. In 2007 she was a facilitator for the ASEF (Asia-Europe Foundation) Forum for Photographers, Cork/Dublin.
